New partnerships that can help Americans abroad and help us end U.S. double taxation
Tax Fairness for Americans Abroad has funded its advocacy efforts in Washington to-date entirely through individual donations. We are deeply grateful for the efforts of everyone who has already made a donation. As we expand our outreach in Washington, we will need even more help.
To diversify our sources of funding, we are happy to partner with organizations that:
publicly share our goal of moving the United States towards the international standard of residence-based taxation via the LaHood bill
are willing to actively help fund our effort, and
offer preferential terms for goods or services to that can potentially help people who support Tax Fairness for Americans Abroad navigate the many complexities of being an American overseas.
We are pleased to announce our first two partnerships, with DF-Direct and Aequify. We would also be delighted to hear from other potential partners (scroll down).
An investment platform designed for American expats
DF-Direct is a low-cost investment platform with no minimum investment—built to help American expatriates access globally diversified, U.S.-tax-compliant portfolios. It is a fully digital solution offering expats the simplicity and flexibility they need to invest with confidence from anywhere in the world.
The portfolios offered through DF-Direct are designed by Dunhill Financial specifically for the needs of U.S. citizens living abroad, ensuring alignment with both global markets and U.S. tax obligations.
“We are also proud to support initiatives like Tax Fairness for Americans Abroad, advocating for a fairer financial and tax environment for all U.S. expatriates,” said Brian Dunhill, Director of DF-Direct and an American expat himself. DF-Direct will make a donation to Tax Fairness for Americans Abroad for every new client that invests with them via the link below.

Managing finances in multiple countries
Aequify provides a financial snapshot of bank balances and other savings in 30+ countries including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada and the European Union. It is also building out other features to make cross-border taxes simpler for US expats, with useful features already live and even more in the pipeline.
Puneet Gupta, founder of Aequify and an expat himself, left his job at a big tech company to try to bring financial equality to expats everywhere. “I know that expat life comes with big financial headaches including managing finances in multiple countries, facing complicated tax rules, struggling to build credit, and constantly feeling like the financial system wasn’t designed for people like us,” he told TFFAA. “I’m genuinely excited to partner with TFFAA because our visions are so closely aligned.”
Aequify offers TFFAA supporters a 20% discount on a first annual subscription. Aequify will also make a donation to Tax Fairness for Americans Abroad for every new client that we help discover them. Please use this link and enter the discount code TFFAA20 when asked.
